Akshara Educational and Rural Development Trust has, over a span of 13 years, relentlessly striven to further the cause of education in Maddur taluk and surrounding taluks in the region. T.N. Dhananjaya is the President of the Trust, Sri Eswar is the Vice President and Smt Deepa B.R. is the secretary.
